Almost everybody must have already watched the video police has released of Philando Castile’s legal lynching. Cop , who murdered him was acquitted despite the fact that the video clearly shows us Philando telling the officer he has a gun in his car and that he’s a legal gun owner. This is ridiculous how our justice system fails black people and how one particular group of people chooses to remain silent once a black person gets killed for legally carrying a gun.

And they released the dashcam footage a few days after the officer was acquitted. Apparently it’s more important that the officer “feared for his life” than the fact that Philando behaved like a law abiding citizen. He told the officer that he was a legal gun owner, he told him he was reaching for his wallet, wasn’t aggressive in any way, he cooperated, yet still got shot. This is why so many black people start recording their interactions with the police, that’s why some of them start crying when they get pulled over, because we don’t have a chance to survive if the officer would suddenly fear for his life. Will there ever be justice for black people in America? I doubt that.
